Hi. I'm Mort
Fertel, creator of Marriage Fitness.
I've been

you an important marriage renewal tip (below), I want to offer
you FREE help and a FREE marriage assessment. No strings attached.
All you have
to do is sign-up in the box to the right and I'll email you both.
After your free sign-up, you'll go to a web page that'll explain
further how you can help you fix your marriage.
Now here's
some advice for starters.
Are you
and your spouse struggling to fix your marriage? Perhaps trying
to deal with your troubles is not just affecting you, but your
family life as well. If you keep trying but can’t seem to get
anywhere, then maybe you are putting in too much effort doing
the wrong things. Don’t let yourself and your family suffer without
solutions any longer. You need to start investing your precious
time and energy in actions that will turn your marriage around.
It could be as simple as stepping away from the problems, and
getting more involved in your spouse’s life.
When I
say you need to “get more involved” with your spouse, I mean that
you should find a way to get involved in an interest of theirs.
Getting involved in your spouse’s interest works wonders for your
marriage, no matter what their interest may be.
Consider
this analogy with a father whose son developed a passion for baseball.
One summer he took his son to see every major league team play
one game. Their travels took the entire summer and cost a lot
of money, but it did wonders for their relationship. Upon their
return the father was asked, “Do you like baseball that much?”
“No,” he replied. “But I like my son that much.”
The action
of getting INVOLVED helped this father and son bond, and the same
principle works within your marriage. Getting involved will recreate
the love and connection in your relationship, giving you a foundation
to safely address your marital issues.
In the
Marriage Fitness Tele-Boot Camp™, I work with you to find meaningful
ways for you and your spouse to get involved in each others lives.
Once you find those ways (and we always do!), it's like magic.
Think about
it. How could you get more involved in your spouse’s life? Getting
involved does not necessarily mean that you have to do the activity
together. It could mean that you watch the activity, plan for
it, pack for it, budget for it, buy supplies for it, or research
it in preparation for discussion. How you get involved depends
on you, your spouse, and the interest. There are endless possibilities.
The goal is to GET INVOLVED in some way so your spouse's interest
becomes part of your life too.
The chances
are good that your spouse's interest doesn't interest you. If
it did, you would probably already be involved. This exercise
is challenging in that regard. It takes discipline. Investments
and sacrifices are necessary within your marriage (and for your
family) in order for you to reap the benefits. It's not an exercise
in choosing compatibility; it's an exercise in CHOOSING LOVE.
Your interest in your spouse's interest is irrelevant. Your interest
in your marriage is the key.
Just as
getting involved in your spouse’s interests will work wonders
for your marriage, the same action will positively affect the
rest of your family. Think about it for a minute- how could being
more involved benefit your family relationships? It makes sense
that couples who are really connected will be better equipped
to parent, with more energy to give to their children. Becoming
more involved allows you to connect, discover, and respond better
to the needs of both your marriage and your family.
I
have much more FREE advice for you and a FREE marriage assessment.
