Do you want to save your marriage?

Hi. I'm Mort Fertel, creator of Marriage Fitness.

I've been where you're at and I have answers for you. Before I share with you one step to saving your marriage (below), I want to offer you FREE marriage help and a FREE marriage assessment. No strings attached.

All you have to do is sign-up in the box to the right and I'll email you both.

After your free sign-up, you'll go to a web page that'll explain further how you save your marriage.

Why is it that some people are successful at saving their marriage, while others are not? It's a good question, isn't it?

Think of this challenge in terms of an athlete’s desire to succeed in a sport. Why do athletes sacrifice, endure pain, push their bodies beyond their limits, and pass up other opportunities? The answer: they want to! And why do they want to? BECAUSE IT'S WORTH IT.

The same goes for your marriage. If you believe your relationship is worth reviving then you need to go after that goal with the energy and time it deserves. You see, if you set your sights on achieving marital success, then it’s more than likely you will achieve that goal. You are serious about changing your marital situation, that much is for sure. The question is then HOW. How will you go about saving your marriage?

Fixing a damaged relationship is like training for a gold medal—it takes 2 kinds of commitment. It takes commitment to do some things AND a commitment to AVOID doing others.

The first element of your marriage renewal plan could be considered the “training” phase. You learn how to do the activities that are required for success. It’s possible that you’ve heard about some of the secrets to marital success I provide in Marriage Fitness. If so, you may have learned about Talk Charges, Touch Charges, Giving, and Getting Involved—all things TO DO. By using these positive actions on a consistent basis, you can heal marital strife and rebuild the love that’s lacking in your relationship.

The second requirement for saving your relationship is not about what you do, but what you DON’T do. This is where you must learn to refrain from the activities that will inhibit your success. Sometimes you need to make a sacrifice to gain something. If your goal is to save your marriage, then there are some activities you must just stop doing. Some behavior is just not conducive to a healthy relationship.

This exercise therefore does not require you DO anything; it asks you to REFRAIN from doing something. “Refrain from doing what?” you might ask. You can get lots of detailed instruction in Chapter 7 of Marriage Fitness about how to refrain from the activities most harmful to your relationship, but for now your task is to pick one thing OF YOUR CHOICE. What one thing, if you refrained from doing it, would improve your marriage? What one thing are YOU doing that’s unhealthy for your relationship? Pick one thing and begin refraining from it today.

Saving your relationship will require the commitment to begin using new habits, while learning to also refrain from behavior that inhibits your marital success.

If you'd like to learn more tips about how to have a better marriage , then sign up in the box to the right and I'll send you FREE advice and a FREE marriage assessment. No strings attached.

After the free sign-up, you'll go to a web page that'll explain further about an alternative to marriage counseling.
